In 1971, Edmunds established his first company, Murphree-Edmunds, Inc., which designed and constructed more than 100 custom homes, offices, commercial/retail complexes and hotel properties.

Geofrey H. Edmunds and Associates, established in 1977, worked hard to achieve its unique architectural style and design, craftsmanship and construction, and to select premier locations within the most prestigious communities in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. In 1995, Toll Brothers, Inc. purchased the company and Edmunds briely retired from the industry.
